New foals struggle on their newly discovered wobbly legs. This Austrian breed of horses are renown for their wonderful nature. They are calm, friendly and easy to train. Jim Willems' orchard situated a mere four miles from the rustic town of Cashmere and ten miles from Leavenworth, known as the "Bavarian Village" of the Pacific Northwest, is nestled in a valley beneath the Cascade Mountain Range.
